Early 20th Century Platinum, Burma Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

A spectacular platinum ring that was made circa 1910-1920. It has been set with a natural unheated Burma (Myanmar)ruby that weighs 1.77 carats. The ruby is a beautiful colour displaying the tell tale flashes of purple when held to different lights. Around it are twelve well matched early brilliant cut diamonds within millgrained rub over settings that weigh approximately one carat. There are two further small diamonds on each of the shoulders. There is attention to detail with engraved work on the shoulders and a pierced gallery. This ring is accompanied with a gemmological certificate that states that the ruby has no indications of heating.

It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear as a dress or an engagement ring.
