An unusual large round locket that was made circa 1880. It is 9ct gold with metal elements such as the hinges. It hinges open on both sides to reveal three glazed compartments for photographs. There are various photos and a lock of hair within that can be removed if wished. The outside has been ornately engraved with a heart cartouche on one side and one on the other so that you can engrave a monogram if wanted.
This locket would look great worn on a medium length chain.
