Early 19th Century Pink Topaz & Diamond Ring

A gorgeous and rare ring that was made circa 1840. It has been set with a beautiful pink topaz. Pink topaz is a valuable and rare stone especially large stones such as this one. Precious topaz comes in a diverse array of gorgeous colours. It has a unique crystal structure that makes it a hard and dense gemstone. Topaz’s reds and pinks are caused by chromium within the stone. Around the pink topaz are fourteen old mine cut diamonds. The shoulders are a lovely repousse design leading on to a ribbed shank.

It is completely original and in wonderful condition.
