A smart 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1880-1900. It has been set with two old mine cut diamonds that are a good evenly matched colour. There is a beautiful pigeon blood ruby in the centre. All the gem stones are set in rub over settings. A rub over setting places the diamond in a circle of metal, which is then folded all around it to catch the hips of the gem at its widest point. It creates a secure setting which is a neat look because the stones are not claw set.
It can be worn on its own or stacked with other rings.
