A wonderful and unusual Rococo inspired ring that was made circa 1860. It is 18ct gold and has been set with two pear shaped rubies that appear to be heart shaped because of the stylised claws set with small rose diamonds that surround them. In the centre is an old cushion cut diamond with rose diamond set claws around it. There is a further old mine cut diamond set in to each shoulder. The carved and pierced gallery is impressive and adds character to this unusual ring.
