Victorian 18ct Gold, Five Stone Diamond Ring

№ A121
Written by Olly Gerrish

An attractive 18ct yellow gold ring that was made circa 1880-1900. It has been claw set with five graduated old mine  cut diamonds that have an approximate total weight of a fraction under a carat. They are well matched bright stones. In between the diamonds are small rose diamonds known as “diamond points” that serve to give the ring a clean line. There is also a rose diamond at either end. The shoulders have an engraved scroll motif.

It sits low on the finger and curves around it beautifully so it is a practical ring to wear as an engagement ring.
