A lovely 15ct gold locket that was made circa 1820. it is a beautiful design with great attention to detail. It has been claw set with turquoise and natural split pearls. Both have meanings, Turquoise is “Forget me not” after the flower of the same name and the pearls are for “Tears”, so it may well have been a mourning locket. In the centre is a glazed locket that hinges open to the reverse. The bale has also been set with two natural split pearls and a turquoise.
