Rare Find
A lovely Georgian ring made circa 1800-1820 and set with white and red paste to simulate rose diamonds and rubies. The body is blue glass. Georgian rings like this were known as “bagues au firmament”, or “rings of the heavens”. The deep blue glass was intended to evoke the night sky, and the paste, stars.
Such rings are increasingly rare to find these days.
