Rare Find
A beautiful and an unusual finely made Giardinetti ring. The name Giardinetto comes from the Italian word for “Little garden” and the naturalistic style first appeared towards the end of the 17th century. It gathered popularity in the 18th century onwards. This original ring has a 15ct gold twist shank and has been set in silver with rose diamonds. It is composed of a delicate openwork foliate cluster. It dates from around 1750-1780
It would originally have been given as a token of love.
