Rare Find
A gorgeous Georgian brooch that was made circa 1820-1830. It has been cut down collet set with a beautiful foiled pink topaz that has an approximate weight of just over five and a half carats. Around it are luscious natural split pearls. Pink topaz is a valuable and rare stone especially large stones such as this one. Precious topaz comes in a diverse array of gorgeous colours. It has a unique crystal structure that makes it a hard and dense gemstone. Topaz’s reds and pinks are caused by chromium within the stone. This large stone was most likely mined in Burma or Russia and is a really pretty pink.
