№ 531Y
An unusual ring that was made in France circa 1820. It has been cut down claw set in silver with five rose diamonds. The centre rose diamond is roughly oval shaped and on either side is a pear shaped rose diamond with a further small rose diamond at each end. The stones are all foil backed which served to let light into them. An interesting point is that the foil has been scored in criss cross lines only seen under a loupe. The shank is 9ct gold or slightly higher as was common at that time.
