Early 20th Century Platinum, Conch Pearl & Diamond Drop Earrings

Elusive by nature, a single Conch Pearl is a genuine rarity, with only one found in every 10,000 to 20,000 Queen Conch shells. Not only are Conch Pearls extremely rare in quantity, they also come in unique shades ranging from pink to watermelon translucence, and in rare cases with a visible, vibrant, flame-like pattern on the surface. Two matching conch pearls have been found and used in this incredible pair of earrings which is even rarer. Around the conch pearls are graduated early brilliant cut round diamonds. Above are square cut and baguette cut diamonds with a 35 point round early brilliant cut diamond at the top. They were made circa 1920 and are platinum.

These earrings are accompanied with a gemmological certificate for the conch pearls stating that they are saltwater and natural with no indications of treatment.
