Rare Find
A rare large moonstone and diamond ring that was made circa 1920-1925. It is platinum and the rub over set cabochon cut moonstone has an approximate weight of just under seventeen carats. The best moonstones have a colourless, nearly transparent appearance without visible inclusions, and a vivid blue adularescence, known in the trade as blue sheen. The finest moonstone is a gem of glassy purity with a mobile, electric blue shimmer which this moonstone has. On either side in step down settings are four round diamonds with a baguette cut diamond in between. The diamond shoulders frame the gorgeous moonstone beautifully.
A ring that will be sure to attract admiring glances.
