Rare Find
An impressive platinum ring that was made in France in the 1920s. It is a typical bold and strong design using onyx and bright white diamonds to maximum effect. Onyx can be cut in to flat geometric shapes making it a perfect choice for rings. It also symbolises strength, power and sophistication that aligned with the era’s embrace of modernity progress and luxury.
The principal rub over set diamond has an approximate weight of half a carat and the surrounding claw set diamonds within millgrained settings have an approximate weight of 1.20 carats. The oval onyx plaque has been faceted on the edges and the trifurcated shoulders lighten the look and it sits low on the finger.
