A neat pair of 14ct gold earrings that were moast likely made in Austria circa 1910. Each earring has been rub over set with a mabe pearl surrounded by claw set old mine cut diamonds. A mabé pearl is a unique, dome-shaped cultured blister pearl that grows attached to the inner shell of a mollusc rather than inside its soft tissue. This gives it a distinctive hemispherical shape with a completely flat back. They have been used a lot in antique jewellery.
They have secure hinge back fittings.
