An unusual 18ct gold mourning ring that was assayed in 1845 in London. It has been set with cabochon emeralds within a diamond shaped top. On either side is another cabochon emerald with black enamel Gothic detail throughout. Inside the shank is engraved “Mrs JM Miles Ob Mar h (March) 20th 1866 At (aged) 58” A fantastic ring that would be ideal for a collector of early mourning rings
