A stunning 15ct gold collar that is composed of conjoined curb links and stars. There is a wonderful contrast of the fluted curb links with the polished flat round plaques that catch the light. It was made circa 1880. At that time English designs were influenced by Indian motifs. Collars were made that featured stars, as in this example, or a continuous line of bobbles along the bottom.
