The flower has been set with small old mine cut diamonds and there is further rose diamond detail to the leaf and shank. The green leaf is plique a jour enamel. Plique a jour is French for \u201cletting in daylight\u201d. An amazing process as it is a vitreous enamelling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonn\u00e9, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel.
