It was made circa 1910 and is composed of a central octagonal cluster of diamonds with geometric shoulders set with diamonds. The diamonds are all well matched white stones. There is millgrain detail on the platinum that adds to the overall design of the ring. This is when the edges of the metal have been worked with a knurling tool to produce tiny beads, hence the French name \u201cMillgrain\u201d meaning a thousand beads.
