Hearts are always sought after especially the old Victorian ones and especially if they are set with old mine cut diamonds and have a glazed locket section on the reverse. In fact this heart has it all.\u00a0 The diamonds are close set in silver settings and are evenly matched and very bright stones with an estimated weight of nearly two carats with the largest stone in the centre. The bale has also been set with two old mine cut diamonds. When viewed from the reverse the heart is 15ct gold and the back of the settings have been filed so beautifully which is always a great sign of quality. It was made circa 1880-1900.<\/p>\n
