A good 18ct gold ring that was made to commemorate the death of Mr Merrill who died May 16th 1816 aged 53. The details are engraved on the inside of the ring. On the outside in the middle of the band is engraved in Gothick script “In Memory of”. Both edges are slightly raised and have a stylised flower design that was typical of the period.<\/p>\n
