Although the style slowly petered out of the limelight by 1820, later European examples are still found, of which this is an example.\u00a0 Extending 23.5mm up the finger, the bezel is encrusted with bright Old European cut diamonds, with a deep Royal Blue sapphire in the centre. The open-back gallery setting keeps the diamonds bright, coupled with the silver top setting to enhance their crisp colour, and the scroll detail at the shoulders add another little point of interest.
