A good looking 18ct white gold diamond cluster ring that was assayed in London in 1980. It has been claw set with six old mine cut diamonds that have most likely come from an antique jewel that had been broken up. The effect is lovely as it resembles a pansy flower which has a secret meaning “Pense a moi” (a French pun on the word pansy – “Think of me”). Old mine cut diamonds were cut and polished by hand and have a totally different look to modern brilliant cut diamonds. They are a softer look with larger facets and a distinctive fire.<\/p>\n
