This is a truly gorgeous 15ct gold pendant that was made circa 1910. At that time the new and exciting stones on the block were opals that were being imported from Australia. No one had seen such amazing vibrant opals like these before as previously opals had come from Hungary and were rather dull in comparison. The stones were celebrated and set in to pendants, rings, and bracelets. This pendant is a superb example of the best well matched opals with plenty of vivid blue and green flashes with red undertones. Around them are old mine cut diamonds with a slightly larger old mine cut diamond in the centre. The hinged bale has a further opal and diamond set in to it.<\/p>\n
