A pretty 9ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910 in Chester. It has been set with a green garnet in the centre. Green garnets or demandoid garnets are one of the most expensive and rare gemstones and the most prized colour is the apple green. It was found in the Urals in Russia in the late 19th century and became a popular stone to use in Edwardian jewellery. It is surrounded by twelve well matched good bright white diamonds within scalloped settings. The shoulders are trifurcated giving the ring a light look.
