A stunning 15ct gold brooch that was made circa 1860. In the centre is a “Forget me not” flower spray set with graded rose diamonds. There are four further rose diamond set leaves at intervals around the brooch. The background is turquoise blue enamel that was often used in Victorian jewellery as it also represented “Forget me not” after the flower of the same name. So this brooch would either have been given as a token of love, or it was worn in memory of someone.
