An unusual Art Deco pendant that is typical of 1920s design. This style is sometimes called a negligee necklace as it has two unequal drops. It has been set with five round cut rock crystals that have a slightly pinkish hue. They are very lively stones. In contrast there are eight green garnets that are a lovely pure apple green. Green garnets or demantoid garnets which is their correct name had recently been discovered in the Urals in Russia so they were often used in jewellery from the Edwardian and Art Deco period. They are expensive and quite rare stones.
