This is a wonderful platinum ring that was made in the Art Deco period circa 1920s. It has been double claw set with an old European cut diamond that weighs over two carats. The stone is lovely and bright with plenty of ‘fire’ on show – this refers to the spectral colour flashes often seen in antique cut diamonds. The gallery is exceptionally pretty with a bobble and scallop design and, despite the size of the diamond, it does not sit too high on the finger. This ring is accompanied by a gemmological report stating that the diamond is natural (approx H\/I colour, SI2-I1 clarity).
