An attractive flat cut garnet necklace, made circa 1910, and set in 9ct gold. There was a revival at that time for flat cut garnet jewellery reminiscent of the Georgian period. Pieces such as this are often mistaken as earlier pieces which they are not. Nevertheless they have a certain charm and look great when worn.
