This brooch is in excellent condition. The enamel is top quality, as are the pearls and diamonds which have not suffered over time. It is a memorial brooch, but not the usual colour, black, which makes it much more attractive to the eye. The gold is 15ct (tested) The reverse has a glass compartment which would have been used to contain a lock of hair.
