If you go from Japan to Scotland, from London to Los Angeles and mention Grays Antique Centre the chances are that someone will say 'I have been there and do you know Olly by any chance?'. When you have been in business for a certain length of time you meet a large number of people and a good reputation means your name gets passed around. You can do no better than spending time with Olly who will happily share her expertise and knowledge with you and make buying a piece of period jewellery a pleasure.

I am delighted to have found your site via google which has led me to a banquet of jewelry. I am absolutely over the moon with the antique owl that I bought from you. It arrived yesterday and is a gift for my husband who loves owls. He is thrilled with it too - it is exquisite and looks even more beautiful than on the net (proving how meticulous you are in describing your jewelry). I found your site user friendly and can hardly wait to buy my next item. I want to thank you for quickly answering my emails - you have excellent customer service - and for mailing the owl to Canada so quickly. It arrived well packaged and undamaged. I have complete trust in you and will happily recommend you to my friends. Standing "O" for www.antiquejewellerycompany.com

I found the Antique Jewellery Company when I purchased a beautiful ring that I saw in a weekly blog post over on the Hairpin that highlights estate jewellery (http://thehairpin.com/2011/09/the-week-in-estate-jewelry-tiger-claws-secret-hearts-and-opal-madness) I was so pleased to find the company equally wonderful to do business with. Olly and Matt answered all my questions and took excellent personal care to make sure the ring shipped quickly and arrived safely stateside.

Having dreamt of a Georgian cluster ring for years, I spied one on the Antique Jewellery Company website – lovely clear pictures from several angles, good description and (fatal!) a friendly invitation to “arrange a viewing”. What a clever system! I emailed a request to see three rings on my next visit to London, and so I met Olly. A woman with an obvious passion for and deep understanding of her subject, she was able to tell me all about the rings – the differences between them, the shapes of the stones and so on – and even taught me how to use her loupe. It all felt very special and very much in keeping with such a significant purchase – and my fabulous Georgian ring sits on my finger as I type! My only concern is how to stay away from that tempting website…
